About Special School Empty About Special School

    Guild Background:

The guild "Special School" was formed February 5th, 2009. Many of it's current members have been in top US/Frostmane guilds and know what it is like to fail and succeed. The guild is here to have FUN (why play the game if you're not having fun?) and progress through raiding content as fast as possible.

    Raid Accomplishments/PvP Accomplishments:

Every single raid member has cleared every single piece of content in WOTLK. Most of the members have cleared all the content in pre-BC and BC. Most of us love PvPing (for many of us, it is our sole reason why we PvE) and have gotten Gladiator in S1, S2, S3, and S4 (with 2400+ ratings, not the bare minimum. Getting Gladiator does not make you good, but it proves to some extent that you are capable of pressing your keys on the keyboard and clicking your mouse.)

    Qualities we are searching for:

    • You must be levelheaded and be responsible for your actions.
    • You must be dedicated to whatever you do (both in-game and IRL).
    • You must be willing to go above and beyond our expectations (our expectations are very high. So bring your A+ game.)
    • You must be compassionate to ALL of the members. Just because someone is a lower rank does not mean you can talk down on them.
    • You must be willing to give and take criticism.
    • AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, YOU MUST HAVE FUN.

Things we expect from you IN-GAME:

    • You must show up to MOST of the raids (more on this later).
    • You must Min/Max to the best of your abilities (this includes theory crafting, gemming, and enchants).
    • You must be capable of producing good DPS, TPS, or HEALING.
    • You must be able to dodge fire and circles on the ground (yes, we know this is too much to ask of some people).
    • You must always have consumables ready at all times.
    • You must be willing to raid on the PTR when Ulduar and other future instances are released.

Things you can expect from us:

    • We will do our best to provide a stable and enjoyable raiding environment.
    • We will raid to attain achievements!
    • We will provide repairs and flasks for PROGRESSION NIGHTS. However, we would prefer you to have your own flasks/consumables.
    • We will try to accommodate to everyone's needs and wants (this applies to loot, raid times, etc.)

    Raid Schedule

    • Our raid days are Sunday through Thursday starting at 7:30 PM CST (WHICH IS SERVER TIME) and end at 12 Midnight!
    • This schedule was created around the schedules of our raid members of whom many are busy with college, work, and friends/family.
    • We are VERY lenient when it comes to real life issues affecting in-game time. We understand everyone has a life outside WoW. So if you have to miss a month of raiding, you must tell us before hand. We do not want people to disappear for weeks or months at a time without telling us, then expect to come back and raid for free loot.

    Loot System:

    • We will be using the Loot Council system.
    • The Loot Council is composed of 5 people.
    • If the Loot Council cannot make a decision, they will ask the Veterans to assist them.
    • Tanks will have priority on tier and tanking pieces. Caster DPS will have priority on caster weapons. Melee weapons will go to members who need them for MAIN SPEC.
    • These are obviously very basic rules. There many more factors that come into play when handing out loot (i.e. raid attendance, skill factor, item that is being replaced, etc.).

    How you can contact us:

    • You can whisper (we're all on US-FROSTMANE) Mikegnomez, Fiaraa, and Hamortime for further questions.
